What is this module for?

The module builds an interest profile for every customer from their orders, the products they viewed and the decisions they made on the Swipe cards: it scores which topics (categories) and brands they are interested in, and the strongest ones become tags on the profile. The points fade over time, so old interest gradually loses weight. Segments are built from the profiles (for example Returning customers, Not ordered for a long time, Browsing, no order yet), and their membership updates by itself. On the webshop, the Swipe cards and the “Recommended for you” block recommend products based on the profile. With the PrestaHU Metrics & Insights module, RFM segments can be used as conditions too.

What it does

You know who is interested in what, and the webshop recommends accordingly.

Interest profile

Orders, product and category views and Swipe decisions score topics (categories), brands or feature values. The half-life of the points is adjustable, and the strongest elements become tags.

Rule-based segments

Condition groups on interest, purchase (orders, spend, last order), browsing, events and customer type. The live member count shows on the right, and the membership updates by itself.

Swipe cards

Product, category and own content cards the visitor swipes right or left. On an own page, in a pop-up, on the home page, on the product page or in the cart; with A/B testing.

“Recommended for you” block

Recommends products based on the profile on the home page, the category and product pages, in the cart or as a widget, with the product cards of the theme. Bought and rejected products are left out.

RFM segments

With the PrestaHU Metrics & Insights module, RFM segments (for example Champions, At risk) can be used as conditions in the segment editor.

Audiences for other modules

PrestaHU TriggerHub uses the segments and tags as audiences for automated e-mails; members can also be exported to CSV.

The real interface

Profile list with tags
Interest profile in one window
Rule-based segment with live member count
Swipe deck and card statistics

“Recommended for you” on the home page
Good to know

What does it need?

No external service. After the installation, choosing the dimensions and one Start button build the profiles from the existing orders.

Compatibility: PrestaShop 1.7.4 to 9.1, MySQL and MariaDB.
Signals: Orders, product and category views (without known bots), Swipe decisions; the points of each are adjustable.
Scheduled run: The host calls the module address every 5 minutes; without it, opening the module page advances the jobs.
Multistore: Own dimensions, segments, decks and settings per webshop.
Languages: Segment, deck and card texts are set per language.
Updates: 12 months of updates and support in Hungarian.
Why it helps

What do you gain?

Targeted messages: The newsletter or campaign goes to those interested in the topic, not to the whole list.
Returning customers: You see who ordered long ago and who browses without ordering; each is a separate segment.
Personal recommendations: The home page and the Swipe cards show products that match the interest of the customer.
Privacy: Works with the official PrestaShop GDPR module: included in the export, deleted with the customer.

Frequently asked questions

What people usually ask before buying

What is customer segmentation, and what is it good for in a webshop?
Customer segmentation groups customers by behaviour and interest, for example returning customers or those interested in a given topic. Targeted newsletters, campaigns or offers can go to these groups instead of the whole list.
How does the module know what a customer is interested in?
From the ordered products, the viewed product and category pages and the decisions made on the Swipe cards. Every signal gives points to the category, manufacturer or feature value of the product; the points fade over time. An element becomes a tag when it reaches the set share.
Will existing customers get a profile too?
Yes. In the first setup the Start button processes the existing orders retroactively, in the background. After that, every new order and view updates the profile.
What segments can be built?
Automatic segments are made from the tags. An own segment is built from condition groups: tag or score, number of orders, spend, days since the last order or visit, events and customer type. Three ready samples are included (Not ordered for a long time, Returning customers, Browsing, no order yet).
What is Swipe, and where does it show?
On the Swipe cards the visitor swipes right on what they like and left on what they do not; the decisions go into the profile, and at the end of the round the module recommends products. It can show on an own page, in a pop-up, on the home page, at the bottom of the product page or in the cart. It is off by default.
Is the Metrics & Insights module needed for RFM analysis?
The interest profile, the segments, Swipe and the recommendation block work without it. The RFM segment (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) condition comes from the PrestaHU Metrics & Insights module; when it is installed, it can be chosen in the segment editor.
How does the module handle personal data?
It works with the official PrestaShop GDPR module: the data export of a customer includes the profile and the signals, and deleting the customer deletes the profile too. At the end of a Swipe round the visitor can delete their own decisions.
Which PrestaShop versions does it work on?
PrestaShop 1.7.4 to 9.1, with a MySQL or MariaDB database, and on multistore installations with own settings per webshop.
